Washoe County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating multiple cases of credit card fraud which may be tied to regional vehicle burglaries.

Sometime between 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on September 17, 2021, a vehicle was burglarized while parked at the Tahoe Meadows Trailhead parking lot. The suspects gained entry inside the vehicle by punching the lock of the driver’s side door. Four credit and/or debit cards were stolen as well as cash from inside the vehicle. The cards were subsequently used that same day by two people at a big box retailer located on Damonte Ranch Parkway and another big box retailer on Kietzke Lane.

Surveillance images of those people are attached. The surveillance images and modus operandi in the September 17th case match vehicle burglaries at regional trailheads and successive credit card fraud cases. Detectives made a public plea to identify the suspects in those prior cases on September 13th. All surveillance images are included in this release.

Anyone with information that can help identify the suspects pictured below is asked to contact the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detectives Division at (775) 328-3320 or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900. Reference case numbers: WC21-3756, WC21-3859, and WC21-4608.
