Administrative Services Division
The Administrative Services Division oversees and manages services provided to the general public in accordance with Nevada Revised Statutes or Washoe County Code. This includes Concealed Weapons Permits, civil processes, case requests, work cards, fingerprinting, warrant information, requests for information and filing of reports, either on-line or at the front desk. This Division also provides services to law enforcement personnel in the field which may include criminal information.
Field Services Section Criminal Information Section
Records Section
The Records Section of the Sheriff's Office is the central repository for all records produced by the agency including case reports, criminal history information, detention records, and Requests for Information.
Civil Section & Permits Section
As mandated by state statute the Civil Section is responsible for the service of process in civil and criminal cases throughout Washoe County.
The Permits Section is responsible for issuing Permits, Licenses, and Registrations such as work permits, carry a concealed weapon (CCW) permits, and Felon/Sex Offender Registrations.
Field Services Section
Field Services personnel assist citizens in completing crime reports, ensuring that all relevant information is collected. They refer citizens to community resources in Washoe County as necessary. Field Services personnel support the Patrol Division in various field assignments including taking crime reports for cold crime incidents, conducting crime scene investigations, assisting during emergency situations, and participating in community activities.
Criminal Information Center
This section provides services to law enforcement personnel in the field which may include criminal information.
