The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting with two known victims that occurred late Sunday night in Sun Valley.
At approximately 10:20 p.m. on Sunday, August 19, 2018, deputies responded to the area of Staci Way and Merritt Court on a report of shots heard in the area. Deputies located two victims at the scene and evidence of multiple shots having been fired.
Both victims are male adults. Investigators believe the victims were involved in a confrontation outside a residence at this location during which shots were exchanged. One victim was declared deceased at the scene. The second victim was transported to a local hospital where he was also declared deceased.
As of this writing, no arrests have been made however investigators believe there are no outstanding suspects.
The Reno Police Department, Sparks Police Department, and Nevada Highway Patrol assisted with the initial response.
