The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is currently accepting applications for Deputy Sheriff Recruit and lateral POST certified Deputy Sheriff.
This is a great opportunity for men and women who are looking to pursue a career in law enforcement. Successful Deputy Sheriff Recruit applicants will enter a regional law enforcement academy scheduled to begin in January of 2016. Recruits will receive pay while attending the academy.
Applicants must be at least 21-years-old, a United States citizen, and have a high school diploma or the equivalent at time of application.
The Sheriff's Office is the premiere law enforcement agency in Northern Nevada, and is committed to providing the highest quality police service and protection to our residents and visitors of Washoe County.
The Office looks for applicants who understand problem solving and critical thinking, are disciplined, good communicators and want to make a difference through service to their community.
