Washoe County Sheriff's Office Deems Verdi Shooting Self Defense

On September 26, 2023, at approximately 03:00 a.m., Washoe County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies responded to the 3200 block of Mario Road in Verdi for a reported shooting.
When Deputies arrived on the scene, they located a male subject with multiple gunshot wounds.
That male was pronounced deceased at 03:44 a.m.
After investigating this incident, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detectives have deemed this shooting was in self-defense.
