Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam Statement on Patriot Day
Washoe County Sheriff's Office
Office: 775-785-6234
Cell: 775-484-9820
“Twenty-one years ago, our nation was attacked and thousands of people’s lives changed forever. While the shock and horror of the day may have faded for some, for so many others the incredible pain is still fresh and raw. Today, Patriot Day, is an opportunity for the country and the world to reflect, honor and remember those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office continues to thank, honor and remember the first responders who ran towards the call on that fateful day. Their incredible courage, sacrifice and dedicated commitment is something to be admired and respected by all, including those of us in a similar career.
As we pause today, we again pledge to never forget.”
