Washoe County Sheriff's Office detectives update the Incline Village homicide investigation

Washoe County Sheriff's Office detectives announced this morning that Ismeal Resendiz-Moreno, age 44 of Incline Village, has been booked on a charge of murder as part of the ongoing investigation of a homicide that occurred Tuesday morning inside a residence on Southwood Boulevard in Incline Village.

At approximately 10:00 a.m. on January 23, 2018, Sheriff's Office dispatch received a 911 call from a residence on the 700 block of Southwood Boulevard reporting an injured person inside the residence. When deputies arrived on scene, they were able to secure the residence, locate the victim, and call for medical assistance. The victim was declared deceased at the scene.

The victim's identify is pending confirmation by the Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office.

The suspect, Ismeal Resendiz-Moreno was immediately detained by responding deputies and has cooperated with the investigation. Resendiz-Moreno was arrested late Tuesday night on a charge of Battery with a Deadly Weapon and booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility.

After further investigation, Resendiz-Moreno was booked on the murder charge on Wednesday evening, January 24, 2018.
