On Wednesday, February 4, 2015, Washoe County Sheriff's Office Detectives arrested Gerhart Maijala, age 80 of Reno, on two counts of Sexual Assault against a Child Under 14 and two counts of Lewdness with a Child Under 14.
The incidents took place between August and October of 2014 at an undisclosed residence in Washoe County and involved a single female victim who was known to the suspect.
Maijala is currently being held in the Washoe County Detention Facility without bail.
