Sun Valley General Improvement District Dive Into Summer Event

Friday June 14, 5:30-8pm, Sun Valley Community Park

Reno, Nev. Join the Sun Valley General Improvement District in partnership with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office as we kick off the 2024 pool and recreation season with our annual Dive Into Summer event.

Bring your family, friends, picnic blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy a FREE hot dog, chips and soda. The event will include music, emergency responder equipment on display, information booths from our community resource partners, $1 raffle tickets for a chance to win great prizes, demonstration by our recreation partners, and a limited amount of free Sun Valley Pool tokens.

No alcohol, smoking or vaping is permitted and leashed service dogs only.

"The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is thrilled to partner with the Sun Valley General Improvement District for this year's Dive Into Summer event, celebrating all the recreational activities the season has to offer," said Sheriff Balaam. "This event provides a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with our community while sharing how we serve and protect our region. Come out and enjoy a fun-filled day with us!"

The “Robert & Norma Fink” Sun Valley Pool will also open for the season Friday, June 14 and will be operating Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm-5pm as staffing and weather permits.
