Missing woman located by off-duty Sheriff's deputy
Washoe County Sheriff's Office
An off-duty Washoe County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputy was in south Reno Thursday when he spotted a woman matching the description of 69-year-old Flora Spencer at a bank on South Meadows Parkway. Spencer had been reported missing earlier in the week when she did not return from a trip to buy supplies near Bordertown on August 22.
The deputy notified detectives who positively identified Spencer. She is safe and has been reunited with her husband.
