The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is asking for help identifying and locating a person who was involved in a possible road rage incident Monday afternoon in which at least one shot was fired into the ground.

At approximately 12:45 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2019, deputies responded to the area of Pembroke Drive and Tamarisk Drive in Hidden Valley on the report of shots heard. On arrival, deputies met with an individual who said he had been involved in a road rage incident that led to the shots fired.

According to the individual, the incident began on Veterans Parkway and involved the reporting individual and an unknown white male driving a white pickup truck. The two vehicles traveled eastbound on Pembroke Drive before the two drivers reportedly stopped their vehicles and got into an argument.

The individual told deputies that at least one shot was fired into the ground at this time by the driver of the white pickup truck.

The driver of the white pickup left the scene before deputies arrived. Deputies are now trying to locate him in order to get a full account of what happened.

Deputies would also like to talk to the occupants of a blue sedan who were in the area of Pembroke and Tamarisk Drives at the time the two vehicles stopped and may have witnessed the incident.

There are no known injuries as a result of this incident.

At this time, deputies have limited description of the second vehicle and person. He is described as a white male and the vehicle as a white pickup truck with a flat cover over the bed.

A photo of what is possibly the white pickup, or a similar vehicle, is attached to this press release.

Anyone with information that can assist with identifying the vehicle or person who was driving it Monday afternoon is asked to contact the Washoe County Patrol Division at (775) 328-3350, or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900. Refer to case number WC19-0693.
