Sheriff's Office seeks information about shots fired into home off Mt. Rose Highway

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is looking for any information from the public that could help them identify and locate the suspect or suspects of a shooting into a house that occurred early Saturday morning off Mt. Rose Highway.

Just after 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019, deputies responded to a residence on the 4900 block of Thompson Lane on a report of shots heard. Deputies located evidence of approximately half a dozen shots. A similar incident occurred at this residence in mid-October. There were no injuries in either incident.

Sheriff's detectives would like to hear from anyone who can assist with this investigation.

The Sheriff's Office continues to investigate a similar incident that occurred sometime between 10:00 and 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at a Galena residence on Portland Drive, south of Vancouver Drive. In this case, a single bullet passed through a garage door and damaged a vehicle parked inside the garage. Deputies canvassed the neighborhood near where the shooting occurred and found no additional damage.

The Thompson Lane incident is case number WC19-218, the Portland Drive incident is WC18-6108.
