Washoe County Sheriff's Office staff donates $3,730 to Big Brothers Big Sisters thanks to December's No Shave campaign |

Washoe County Sheriff's Office staff raised $3,730 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada during the fourth and final month of the Sheriff's Office 2018 "No Shave" campaign.
Sheriff Chuck Allen, along with members of his staff, presented the donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada's Fund Development Director Wendy Firestone earlier today.
The funds were raised by deputies and Sheriff's Office staff who were allowed relaxed grooming or dress standards in exchange for a charitable donation during the each month between September and December. A different recipient was chosen for each month.
The Sheriff's Office 2018 "No Shave" campaign raised a total of $18,301 over four months. All funds were donated to local non-profits, including the Northern Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation, Susan G. Komen, Renown Institute for Cancer and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada.
