Sheriff's Office seeks suspect in package theft investigation |

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is asking for assistance with locating the suspect in a package theft investigation. The suspect has been identified as 23-year-old Anthony Garcia.
Garcia has no known permanent address. He is described as a white male adult, five feet, eight inches tall, 155 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He may be driving a blue Nissan sedan with no license plates.
Sheriff's Office Patrol Deputies have identified Garcia as a suspect in a package theft that occurred sometime during the past week from the porch of a Virginia Foothills home.
Anyone with information that can assist with locating Anthony Garcia is asked to contact Sheriff's Office Dispatch at (775) 785-WCSO, or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900. Refer to case number WC18-6141.
Steps residents may take to help prevent package theft include:
- Track packages and try to be home when they arrive, or ask a trusted neighbor or friend to pick up the package
- Have packages delivered to your workplace, if possible
- Ask the delivery company to require a signature before leaving
- Have the package held at the delivery company for pickup
- Install security cameras at your home
- Report suspicious activity to law enforcement
