Washoe County Sheriff Chuck Allen invites county residents to join him for a cup of coffee and casual conversation this Wednesday as he takes part in the third annual Coffee with a Cop Day.
The concept behind Coffee with a Cop started in 2011 when officers with the Hawthorne Police Department thought it would be a good means to encourage open dialogue with the public. Over time the event grew and in 2016, U.S. Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) officially declared the first Wednesday in October as National Coffee with a Cop Day.
Bring your ideas, your questions, your concerns, or just stop by to say "hi" and enjoy a cup of coffee with the Sheriff.
What: Coffee with a Cop with Washoe County Sheriff Chuck Allen
Date: Wednesday, October 3, 2018
Time: 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
