Sheriff's Detectives arrest Washoe County man on charges of Sexual Assault and Lewdness with a Child under the Age of 14

Washoe County Sheriff's Office Detectives arrested Jim Chen, age 53, of Washoe County this week on one count of Sexual Assault with a Child Under 14 and multiple counts of Lewdness with a Child Under 14.

The charges are related to incidents that involved one female victim and occurred between 2000 and 2010 at an undisclosed residence in Washoe County. The victim was known to the suspect.

Chen was arrested on Thursday, March 9, 2017 following a joint investigation by detectives from the Sheriff's Office Crimes Against Children and All Threats All Crimes (ATAC) units. Chen is being held in the Washoe County Detention Facility without bail.
