Washoe County Sheriff's Office Deputies located and arrested Warrant Wednesday subject Edward Sibr near the area of 1st and Breimon Avenues in Sun Valley on Saturday, December 27, 2014.
Sibr, who was the subject of the Warrant Wednesday posted on the Sheriff's Office Facebook page on Wednesday, December 24, was being sought on a Criminal Contempt Warrant based on a recent Domestic Battery conviction along with an Extended Protection Order violation.
When he was located by Deputies on December 27, Sibr was also found to be in possession of a stolen vehicle. Upon further investigation, Deputies learned that the Spanish Springs area home from which the vehicle had been stolen had also been burglarized.
Investigators believe that Sibr took a number of household items from the residence and are asking for public assistance to help locate the stolen items.
Detectives are asking that anyone who had contact with Sibr between December 24 and December 27, 2014, and may have information regarding the specific nature and location of the stolen property, contact the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division at (775) 328-3350 or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900.
Sibr is currently being held in the Washoe County Detention Facility on a number of charges, including Burglary, Grand Larceny of an Automobile Valued over $3,500, and two counts of Violating a Domestic Violence Extended Protective Order.
