CORRECTION
Sheriff's Office Booking and Records personnel have verified that Michael Reynolds' Probation Violation charge was an error and has been corrected. Since the charge no longer stands, Reynolds' bail has been set at $25,740.
The Washoe County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of Yukon Drive and Maricopa Drive in the Sun Valley area Wednesday morning, February 20, 2013 at approximately 6:50 a.m. on a report of a burglary in progress.
Upon arrival, deputies observed a downed street sign, a white Oldsmobile sedan that apparently had been driven through a wooden fence and into a residence on Miwok Court. The suspected driver of the vehicle entered a residence on Miwok Court. An alert homeowner lawfully detained the intruder inside the homeowner's residence.
Deputies arrested the intruder, identified as Michael Reynolds a 23-year-old Sun Valley resident. Reynolds was charged with Burglary, Failing to Stay at an Accident with Property Damage, Destroying Property of Another over $5,000, and a Probation Violation. Reynolds was booked into the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility without incident. Reynolds is being held without bail due to the Probation Violation.
